Five Palestinian startups from Al-Quds (the Arabic name for Jerusalem) are exhibiting their innovative technological solutions at the third “Expand North Star Dubai 2024” exhibition that opened on Sunday in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai.
The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency (BMAQ) and Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform are supporting the five start-ups in the global show, BMAQ said in a press release.
The BMAQ, an agency of the Al-Quds Committee, has developed a digital strategy for 2024 to 2027 that includes establishing the BMAQ Innovation Hub, an incubator for young Palestinians to foster innovative and creative projects, the agency said.
The agency has set up an institutional stand and a project incubator featuring the start-ups. DataDeeper developed an automated tool for monitoring competitors in e-commerce. Kenz is providing a platform that uses artificial intelligence to assess customers’ creditworthiness and enhance financial inclusion for those seeking financing.
Act Plus Tech is providing intelligent technology solutions to optimize transport services through innovative systems. Healers is a healthcare technology company dedicated to enhancing the safety and efficacy of surgical procedures.
Startup MetaGear will showcase its networking platform designed to facilitate connections between merchants and suppliers.
This is the second group to be sponsored by the BMAQ. The first participated in the Gitex Africa technology exhibition in Marrakech last July, according to the release.
The Expand North Star Dubai 2024 expo runs until October 16, and will bring together over 1,800 startups from 100 countries, providing entrepreneurs, investors, and funding institutions the chance to explore digital technology solutions and shape the future of the global digital economy.
BMAQ is a quasi-governmental institution focused on humanitarian and social issues in Al-Qud. Established in 1998 under the presidency of King Mohammed VI, BMAQ operates under the Al-Quds Committee to safeguard the holy city of Al-Quds, preserving its religious and cultural heritage, and providing support to its inhabitants.
