Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Nasser Bourita, met with a delegation of United States senators led by Republican Senator from Kansas Jerry Moran in Rabat on Monday, to address global issues of mutual concern and explore avenues for further cooperation.
After the meeting, Senator Moran said Morocco is a “provider” of stability and peace in the MENA region and globally, under King Mohammed VI’s leadership. He appreciated “the way Morocco operates in the world” in search of “consensus to bring people together.”
“It is important for the United States to have the closest ties and best relations with Morocco,” the Senator declared.
He also called for increased cooperation to promote Morocco’s model of stability worldwide, particularly in Africa.
