Ismail Baouf, a defender for the Belgian RSC Anderlecht football team, will represent Morocco at the international level instead of Belgium.
Baouf is now 18 and holds Moroccan citizenship along with a Moroccan passport, thus making him eligible to play for the Moroccan national football team.
He was selected to play in two friendly matches against France for the under-20 national football team on October 11 and 14 at the Clairefontaine training centre, located in the suburbs of Paris.
