Morocco’s Ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills (MICEP) announced a new digital platform on Friday in Rabat, modernizing administrative procedures and services, the ministry announced in a press release.
The new initiative aligns with Morocco’s efforts to enhance public administration efficiency and strengthen Morocco’s position as a regional digital hub following the Royal Directives.
Launched under the banner: “Digitization at the Service of Employment and Professional Relations,” the platform will boost employability and business productivity by improving interactions between businesses, employees, and government agencies, as well as ensuring reliable information accessibility, according to Head of MICEP, Minister Younes Sekkouri.
Developed in collaboration with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, the project is expected to enhance Morocco’s economic competitiveness by simplifying 55 administrative procedures and providing a reliable database.
“A series of digital systems and strategies have been developed in line with new trends and technologies to ensure effective management at the service of citizens, reflecting the Office’s willingness to support the Ministry through the exchange of technical know-how,” Halim Hamzaoui, Director of ILO for the Maghreb countries, stated
Sweden’s Ambassador to Morocco, Jörgen Karlsson, and several representatives from the public and private sectors attended the launch ceremony.
