The prominent Moroccan actress, Naima Lamcharki died on Saturday, her family informed Morocco’s News Agency (MAP).
The late actress had a distinguished career in theatre and cinema, showcasing exceptional talent in a series of theatrical plays with leading theatre troupes, including the Maamoura troupe, Bassatine, and the Moroccan Radio and Television Troupe.
Lamcharki also excelled in the world of soap operas, playing leading roles in numerous TV series, including “RamdamFamily.”
Her cinematic portfolio includes around 20 Moroccan and international short and feature films, such as “Blood Wedding,” “Lalla Hobby,” and “The Battle of the Three Kings.”
From 2000 to 2004, she hosted the educational and cultural program “Alif Lam” on the state media channel Al Oula, dedicated to addressing illiteracy.
She also served as a United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Goodwill Ambassador.
