Police services arrested four people, including two minors, on Wednesday in Agadir for their alleged involvement in the sexual assault of a 15-year-old foreign national who was visiting the city with her family, according to media reports.
The arrests followed a citizen’s report of a suspected sexual assault of a foreign girl on the beach of Agadir. Police rushed to the scene and arrested the suspects.
The victim reportedly left the hotel where she was staying with her family after a family dispute.
The suspects were working in seasonal activities on the beach, the media reported.
The support unit for women victims of violence listened to the victim’s account of the incident and arranged for her medical examination.
The suspects were taken into custody under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office.
