Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social Economy Fatim-Zahra Ammor discussed the various investment opportunities in Morocco’s tourism sector on Tuesday at Future Hospitality Summit World held in Dubai.
During her speech at the summit to several foreign investors, Ammor highlighted the country’s efforts to attract investments in hospitality and leisure through mechanisms aligned with a strategic roadmap for tourism development.
The Minister said that Morocco seeks to draw 26 million tourists by 2030, coinciding with the Upcoming World Cup co-hosted with Spain and Portugal, adding that “the tourism sector has achieved record numbers in both tourist arrivals and foreign revenue.”
She noted that Morocco is “one of the top global tourist investment destinations,” supported by a delegation including officials from the Moroccan Society for Tourism Engineering (SMIT).
“The ministry is working on several initiatives to promote tourism and attract investment, including a new investment charter,” Ammour stated.
The Moroccan government is committed to developing all aspects of tourism, which will also create job opportunities.
The Future Hospitality Summit World brings together government officials and industry experts to discuss sustainability, investment opportunities in the Middle East, and the future of hospitality investments, among other topics.
Participants explored regional investment trends and the future of the hospitality sector in Africa, Europe, and the Gulf region, with a particular focus on technological advancements in the industry.
The conference also featured the semifinals of the “Women in Technology” competition, hosted by the UN World Tourism Organization, which seeks to highlight the increasing role of women in the hospitality area.
The summit serves as a key platform for enhancing professional relationships, encouraging innovation, and shaping the future of hotel investments.
