Net foreign direct investment (FDI) into Morocco exceeded 15.21 billion MAD by the end of August 2024, marking an increase of 55.1% year on year, according to the Office des Changes, Morocco’s foreign exchange regulator.
In its latest report on monthly foreign exchange indicators, the office noted that revenues generated by this FDI grew by 13.9% to over 25.35 billion MAD, while expenses decreased by 18.6% to 10.14 billion MAD.
Morocco’s direct investments abroad during January-August of 2024 surpassed 1 billion MAD. Revenues from these investments rose by 0.2% to 10.67 billion MAD, while expenses fell by 35.8% to 11.68 billion MAD.
