Palestinian Minister of Information Ahmed Assaf commended King Mohammed VI’s ongoing efforts in support of the Palestinian cause on Monday in Rabat.
During talks with the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Assaf highlighted King Mohamed VI’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people through contributions via the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Agency.
“We renew our thanks for all Moroccan positions in favor of the rights of Palestinians, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee,” he said in a statement to the press.
Assaf noted that the financial support provided by the agency “contributes to strengthening the resilience of the Palestinians.”
Bensaid reiterated Morocco’s longstanding support of the Palestinian cause, which has now become an issue of national concern, as was highlighted recently by King Mohamed VI during this year’s Throne Day speech in July.
Discussions also centered on media-related issues, aiming to enhance cooperation to amplify the Palestinian voice on the global stage, and improve coordination within regional and international bodies.
Both sides addressed the latest developments in Palestine and agreed to boost media presence in each other’s countries.
