Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Nasser Bourita met with his Rwandan counterpart, Olivier Nduhungirehe, on Tuesday in New York during the 79th session of the UN General Assembly to advance bilateral cooperation and strengthen Rabat-Kigali ties.
The two officials recognized the close friendship and solidarity between Morocco and Rwanda and the mutual respect between King Mohammed VI and Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
Bourita and Nduhungirehe also reviewed potential areas for enhancing bilateral cooperation to further the objectives of both countries.
The meeting offered a framework for assessing the current state of cooperation and discussing regional and international issues of mutual interest and enhanced coordination within regional and international multilateral platforms, the statement concluded.
