Tata, a city in southern Morocco, is grappling with severe floods that have caused widespread infrastructure damage, with local reports confirming at least one fatality.
The flooding follows a red alert issued earlier this week by the General Directorate of Meteorology, warning of extreme weather conditions.

Videos circulating online show the tragic aftermath, including a bus swept away by the rising waters. Local sources have reported that a woman has tragically lost her life due to the floods. No additional casualties have been confirmed from the overturned bus.
Civil Protection teams and army personnel worked overnight to rescue passengers from the bus. Some passengers managed to save themselves by swimming, while others clung to the bus railing before being rescued by emergency responders.
Additional footage shows rivers overflowing, with water levels dangerously close to nearby homes. Another alarming development occurred when the Nadhra Bridge in the city center collapsed.
