During the International and French Travel Market’s (IFTM) “Top Résa” event, which ran from September 17-19 in Paris, Morocco showcased the richness and diversity of its tourism industry and offerings in a massive Moroccan pavilion.
Designed by the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), the pavilion featured 28 exhibitors from the tourism industry (both public and private), such as Royal Air Maroc (RAM), regional and provincial tourism centers, travel agencies, and hotel chains.
Covering an impressive 490 square meters, the Moroccan pavilion attracted significant attention from both individuals and professionals interested in partnerships and business opportunities with the exhibitors.
The presenters highlighted the immense potential of the Dakhla and Fes-Meknes regions, which ONMT considers two key destinations crucial for promoting Moroccan tourism in France.
The President of the Provincial Tourism Council of Oued Eddahab, Othmane Amar, stated that Morocco’s participation is designed to promote tourism in the Dakhla region, which has become a major international destination for both tourism and sports.
“Dakhla is especially known for kitesurfing, as well as for business tourism and conferences,” he said.
Held under the theme “New Sustainable Horizons, Uniting Our Responsibilities,” the 46th expo offered a unique platform for operators to promote the Fez-Meknes region and highlight its historic monuments.
Ahmed Sentissi, president of the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of the Fez-Meknes region, characterized Fez as Morocco’s “open-air museum.”
The city is considered the spiritual, religious, and cultural capital of the Kingdom, with its countless historic monuments and an exceptional historical and cultural heritage showcased during the event, he added.
“The opportunity to meet institutional partners and explore new collaborations with French airports and airlines to expand air connections to the region will increase visibility and attract more tourists to Fez-Meknes,” Sentissi said.
