Abdellatif Hammouchi, the Director of Morocco’s National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance Agency (DGST) arrived in Ankara, Türkiye on Thursday to strengthen bilateral security cooperation in technology and innovation with his Turkish counterparts, DGSN announced in a press release.
Hammouchi met with Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of the Interior, Munir Karaloglu, and Intelligence Director Selami Yildiz to examine potential avenues for knowledge exchange and address mutual security challenges.
They discussed the current bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Türkiye and identified ways to enhance collaboration to ensure security and stability.
The Director’s visit to Ankara coincides with his participation in the International Exhibition of Internal Security Equipment (IGEF24), a global platform designed to showcase the latest technological developments and inventions in security and defense.
He also visited a selection of pavilions at the exhibition, scoping out innovative equipment for internal security and technologies designed to enhance police efficiency in combating emerging terrorist threats.
“The visit reflects the growing interest in strengthening international security cooperation and bilateral multilateral police partnerships, considered essential to address terrorism and cross-border organized crime threats,” the DGSN statement said.
