Moroccan company Logisolution opened Morocco’s first high-rise warehouse on Wednesday in the Ain Sebaa-Sidi Bernoussi industrial zone of Casablanca.
The massive facility is built on an area of 15,000 square meters and stands over 20 meters tall. It features 25,000 storage pallets with 18-meter-high racks and 16 loading docks.
Named “LogiSolutions New York,” the high-rise warehouse won the “Logistics Real Estate of the Year” award at the recent 7th Moroccan Logistics Trophies (MLA 2024) awards.
During the inauguration ceremony of the giant structure, General Director of the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Logistics (AMDL) Ghassane El Machrafi noted that the project will be supported by the agency as the private sector becomes increasingly involved in Morocco’s supply chain and logistics sector.
El Machrafi highlighted the private sector as “a key partner in the development of logistics in Morocco.” He urged private entities to play an active role in advancing the national logistics strategy, to Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).according
He added that AMDL is “committed to enhancing national competitiveness in the area of logistics and making it a major driver of economic growth.” He showcased several projects that have already been launched across the country to develop logistics zones, with further plans to expand to another 750 hectares by 2028.
Held annually since 2016, the MLA rewards the best logistics and supply chain projects in Morocco that have contributed to improving efficiency and sustainability.
This year’s jury included representatives from public and private institutions and well-known figures from the logistics community, selected for their expertise and commitment to the development of the supply chain in Morocco.
The inauguration was attended by several key figures, including Nabil Kharoubi, Governor of the Prefecture of Sidi Bernoussi districts, alongside many entrepreneurs and logistics professionals.
Founded in 2018, Logisolutions is a leading Moroccan logistics company specializing in the management of fast-moving consumer goods, according to its website.
