Exports in the aeronautic sector reached MAD 15.34 billion by the end of July 2024, a 20.3% improvement compared to the same period last year, according to a report by the Foreign Exchange Office.
This growth is attributed to the increase in sales in the “assembly” segment, which rose by 32.4% to MAD 10.04 billion, and to the EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) section, which grew by 2.2% to MAD 5.21 billion, the report indicates.
The bulletin also reported an 8.5% increase in automotive exports, reaching MAD 92.75 billion, elevated by growth in sales of the “interior vehicles and seats” section (+18.3%), “construction” (+7.3%), and “wiring” (+8.3%).
Additionally, the “phosphates and derivatives” sector improved its exports by 14.1% to MAD 46.16 billion, with significant increases in phosphate sales (+49.4%), natural and chemical fertilizers (+11.2%), and phosphoric acid (+10.3%).
