Gestalt partners with DataPathology, marking its first venture into Morocco. This expansion also includes Djibouti, addressing North Africa’s pathologist shortage.
Gestalt introduces its PathCloud platform and digital solutions to Morocco and Djibouti, aiming to enhance medical diagnostics and accessibility in the region, according to Africa Business Community.
Lisa-Jean Clifford, COO of Gestalt, states, “Our partnership with DataPathology highlights our commitment to improving healthcare and addressing critical shortages in medical expertise.”
Africa’s pathologist shortage is severe, with a ratio of 1 per 500,000 people compared to the U.S. ratio of 1 per 15,000.
DataPathology will use Gestalt’s PathCloud and advanced scanners to connect laboratories, enabling rapid, accurate diagnoses and better patient care in remote areas.
Hicham El Attar, Co-founder of DataPathology, calls the partnership a “game-changer,” providing faster, more accurate diagnoses to improve patient outcomes in Morocco and Djibouti.
