Alcázar Cinema of the Tangier city will host the Ajiyal Film Festival between September 20-22, making from the city the epicenter of international cinema.
The Tangier Films Association and the Doha Foundation for Cinema created the festival, which aspires to bring this art closer to youth through combining the showing of globally known films with film analysis seminars for public school students.
The main goal of the festival is to build the capacity of critical thinking in the cinema industry and develop artistic taste.
The festival will provide a unique chance for kids to see films such as “We Have a Dream,” “Selim,” and “Scrapper.”
It will also feature prominent characters from Moroccan and worldwide cinema, such as Jalil Ferhati and Khoula Ben Omar, who will participate in discussions about the film business and the role of women in it.
The participation of directors, reviewers, and screenwriters will strengthen the sharing of information and experiences, creating an opportunity for contemplation and debate about film as a whole.
