The 2024 Morocco Royal Tour (MRT) starts in Tetouan, Northern Morocco, on September 19, attracting horse riders from almost every continent except Oceania.
This year’s competition will feature top riders, including Simon Delestre, who competed at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the MRT announced on its website.
The tour spans three locations: Tétouan, Rabat, and El Jadida, with a focus on Grand Prix 4 events across all stages.
Emanuele Gaudiano, a ten-year veteran of the tour, expressed excitement about returning, especially after winning last year’s Grands Prix.
Moroccan riders Abdelkebir Ouaddar and El Ghali Boukaa aim to reclaim their 2022 victories in front of home supporters.
The tour’s dates include the Tetouan stage from September 19-22, Rabat from September 25-29, and El Jadida from October 3-6.
El Jadida also hosts the prestigious Salon du Cheval, drawing attention to the equestrian culture and tradition in Morocco.
