The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) arrested three ISIS supporters, aged 18 to 39, for planning terrorist attacks targeting public safety on Tuesday.
The arrests were made in Fez, Fnideq, and the rural commune of Ouled Ghanem near El Jadida city, following information from Morocco’s Territory Surveillance Services (DGST).
Searches of their homes revealed electronic devices, weapons, and extremist materials, including a wooden plaque with the ISIS logo.
The suspects pledged allegiance to ISIS and were learning to make explosives for individual terrorism operations in Morocco.
They are now under investigation to uncover their full plans and any international terrorist connections.
