The Agadir Police, in collaboration with the Territorial Surveillance Agency (DGST), arrested four suspects on Saturday for alleged involvement in organizing illegal migration and human trafficking.
The suspects include a fisherman and two individuals with criminal records.
They were caught red-handed attempting to facilitate an illegal migration attempt by sea for a group of 18 would-be migrants.
Law enforcement officers seized a fishing boat, navigation equipment, a GPS device, and MAD 150,000, believed to be the proceeds of criminal activity.
The suspects and alleged migrants are now in custody pending further investigation under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
