Oshkosh Defense, a leading U.S. defense contractor, announced on Wednesday a major new order to deliver military-grade equipment to the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces.
The contract includes Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET) A1 tractors and 635NL trailers, which will be supplied through Optimum Vehicle Logistics, LLC, based in Milwaukee, WI.
The HET A1 tractor is designed to transport the military’s heaviest equipment, such as tanks and armored vehicles. Its robust capabilities make it essential for managing line haul, local haul, and maintenance evacuation tasks, as detailed in the company’s statement.
Pat Williams, Chief Programs Officer for Oshkosh Defense, commented on the announcement: “We are thrilled to work with Optimum Vehicle Logistics, our exclusive distributor in Morocco, to supply additional heavy tactical vehicles in support of the Kingdom’s M1 Abrams modernization efforts.”
“This contract underscores our dedication to enhancing international defense capabilities and strengthening interoperability with our global partners,” Williams added.
The delivery of the HET A1 systems is expected to begin in the summer of 2025.
