Abdellatif Miraoui, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, unveiled the release of the “MyMoroccanUniv” application, a new digital platform designed to facilitate students’ navigation through the challenges of digital transformation, in El Jadida on Tuesday.
“Powered by Artificial intelligence (AI), the platform is a pioneering first for higher education in Morocco and Africa, according to Miraoui.
“It will streamline communication between students, administrative and technical staff, as well as faculty members,” the minister stated during a field visit to faculties of the University Chouaib Doukkali (UCD).
The application, available on Android and soon on iOS, offers a variety of services, including access to support courses, language training, university orientation services, and certificate management.
Miraoui also visited the National School of Applied Sciences (ENSA) and the Code 212 Center, set to open by the end of the year, a facility offering enhanced digital training to facilitate students’ transition to the job market.
He commended the university on its first-time adoption of digitalization of the enrollment process as well as the introduction of a comprehensive extracurricular program, including sports, theater, cinema, music, and painting, to support student development.
UCD President Azzedine Azim welcomed the visit, which provides an opportunity to assess the university’s preparations for key projects under the National Plan for Accelerating Higher Education Transformation.
He also commended the university’s digitalization efforts and the “MyMoroccanUniv” application.
