The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds to affect Morocco’s Atlas Mountains and their western slopes, the southeastern region, and the southern part of the eastern region on Thursday.
DGM also expects occasional cloudiness in the northeastern part of the southern provinces, with probable very light rain showers along the northern and southern Atlantic coastlines. Fog patches are anticipated in the morning and evening over the Atlantic plains and the northwestern part of the southern provinces.
The weather is projected to be relatively warm in the northern and central interior plains, the Moulouya Valley, the southeastern regions, and the southern provinces. Scattered local dust might affect the south and southeast of the kingdom. Strong gusts of wind are expected in the southern part of the eastern region, the Atlas Mountains, the southeastern region, and the southern coast.
Temperatures are expected to range from 12 to 19 in the High and Middle Atlas and the Rif Mountains, from 24 to 30 in the extreme southeastern regions and the northeastern part of the southern provinces, and from 17 to 23 in the rest regions of the country. Daytime temperatures are expected to rise in the northern and central plains and the northern part of the eastern region.
The sea is expected to be calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, and rough to very rough between Cape Bedouza and Tarfaya. Other coastlines will experience conditions ranging from slightly rough to rough.
