The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Communication has extended the deadline for submitting applications for the “Moroccan Youth Prize” until September 30, 2024, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
Launched by the Ministry’s Department of Youth, the prize is an initiative designed to identify and encourage exceptional young Moroccan professionals in five categories: scientific research, technological innovation, artistic and cultural creation, volunteer engagement, and entrepreneurship.
The judging panel for the competition will feature five committees, each chaired by a leading figure in its respective field.
Latifa Ahrrare, an artist, has been appointed to oversee artistic and cultural creation, and Kamal Oudrhiri, a scientist, will review technological innovation. Michaël Zaoui, an entrepreneur, will monitor the assessment of entrepreneurial initiatives. The management expert Nawal Chraibi will supervise scientific research and Amina Oufroukhi, a judge by profession, will be responsible for volunteer engagement.
The top three winners from each category will receive substantial cash prizes, with amounts of 200,000 MAD, 100,000 MAD, and 50,000 MAD, respectively.
“Interested applicants must submit their entries through the platform www.jeunesse.ma before the new deadline of Sept. 30, 2024,” the ministry concluded.
