The Middle East-America Dialogue Summit (MEAD) will be held on September 8-9, 2024, in Washington, D.C. The annual event aims to foster dialogue between US and Middle Eastern leaders with a focus on strengthening alliances and enhancing regional stability.
Chaired by a group of ambassadors, including Tom Nides, David Friedman, Dennis Ross, and former Deputy National Security Advisor Elliott Abrams, MEAD is an invitation-only event. It will feature a diverse lineup of speakers, participants, and select media representatives.
The summit will host 250 participants and include 50 speakers across 18 sessions. The goal is to bolster US-Middle Eastern relations and promote a stable regional environment. The event is funded by a number of non-profits.
“MEAD aims to reinforce the United States’ pivotal role in fostering stability throughout the Middle East,” the organizers state. “We seek to encourage policy-driven discussions and cultivate a network of dynamic collaborations that bridge both regional and international perspectives on US foreign policy.”
