Hicham Dguig, Coach of the Moroccan Futsal Atlas Lions team, released on Tuesday, the names of the players who will participate in the upcoming Futsal World Cup, scheduled from September 14 to October 6 in Uzbekistan.
The final squad includes Abdekrim Anbia, Mohamed Cheridou, Youssef Bensellam, Anas Dahani, Anas El Ayyane, Othmane El Idrissi, Soufiane Bourite, Ismaïl Amazal, Soufiane Charraoui, Othmane Boumezou, Soufiane El Mesrar, Khalid Bouzid, Idriss Raïs El Fenni, and Mohamed Kamal.
The Atlas Lions recently played several friendly matches ahead of the tournament, facing off against Spain, Venezuela, and the Netherlands.
The team has two additional matches lined up in Uzbekistan to complete their pre-tournament preparations. The squad will play a local team on September 5 before taking on the Libyan national team on September 9.
Morocco, a quarter-finalist in Lithuania in the previous tournament, will play in Group E along with reigning champions Portugal, Tajikistan, and Panama. The competition features 24 teams playing in six groups.
