Morocco’s national blind football team, the Atlas Lions, defeated Japan 1-0 on Monday at the Eiffel Tower Stadium in the second group match of the Paris Paralympic Games.
Japan’s Sasaki Robertoizumi scored in his own net in the 26th minute, marking the only goal of the game.
Morocco had drawn 0-0 with Argentina, a strong contender in the tournament.
The Atlas Lions will take on the Colombian side tomorrow, at 10:30 a.m.
