Led by coach Hicham Dguig, the team now has two additional matches lined up in Uzbekistan to complete their pre-tournament preparations. The squad will play a local team on September 5 before taking on the Libyan national team on September 9.
The Moroccan roster was placed in Group E and will compete against Tajikistan on September 16, Panama on September 19, and reigning world champions Portugal on September 22.
