The Moroccan national blind football team drew 0-0 with Argentina in their match at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
The Moroccan Paralympic team will face Japan on Monday before concluding their group stage matches (Group B) against Colombia on Tuesday.
Argentina, silver medalists at the Tokyo 2020, tried to assert their dominance from the beginning of the match, but the Moroccan team, bronze medalists from the previous Games, held their ground.
Moroccan player Zouhair Snisla delivered a standout performance, causing significant trouble for the Argentine defense with his intelligent positioning and active play.
Following the match, Moroccan coach Idriss El Mottaqui described the draw as a “positive result” against a strong opponent, noting that his team seeks victory.
After their historic bronze medal in Tokyo 2020, the Moroccan blind football team is now aiming for gold at the Paris Paralympics.
