Police in Ksar El-Kebir, northwestern Morocco, successfully thwarted a drug trafficking attempt and seized 14,290 psychotropic pills, including “Ecstasy” and “Rivotril,” according to security sources.
Police caught four individuals, aged 24 to 39, including two women, red-handed with the drugs. The seized items include 11,380 “Ecstasy” pills, 2,910 “Rivotril” pills, a dose of cocaine, an electronic scale, and a sum of money believed to be linked to the illegal activity.
The National Police (DGSN) database revealed that two of the suspects are wanted nationally by the Judicial Police and the Royal Gendarmerie in Kenitra and Ksar El-Kebir for alleged involvement in fraud and drug trafficking.
The suspects are now in custody and are being investigated under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office.
