Moroccan athlete Fatima Ezzahra El Idrissi won the silver medal in the 1500 meters (T13 category) on Saturday at the Stade de France during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
With an impressive time of 4:22.98, El Idrissi finished in second place, just ahead of American Liza Corso, who clocked 4:23.45. The athlete narrowly missed out on gold, which went to Ethiopia’s Tigist Gezahagn Menigstu with a time of 4:22.38.
Currently, Morocco ranks 38th in the medal standings, largely due to exceptional performances by Aymane El Haddaoui, who earned a bronze medal in the 100 meters (T47), Ayoub Adouich in para-taekwondo (K44), and the silver medal won by Fatima Ezzahra El Idrissi.
