Moroccan para-taekwondo Rajae Akermach secured a bronze medal in the +65kg K44 para-taekwondo category on Saturday at the Grand Palais during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The Moroccan athlete hardly defeated Brazil’s Débora Menezes, ranked 4th in the world, with a score of 24 to 15.
This bronze medal is the second, following Fatima Ezzahra El Idrissi’s silver in the 1500 meters (T13) in para-athletics.
Morocco is ranked 40th in the medal standings, with bronze medals also won by Aymane El Haddaoui in the 100 meters (T47), Ayoub Adouich in para-taekwondo (K44), as well as the silver and bronze medals of Fatima Ezzahra El Idrissi and Rajae Akermach, respectively.
