The General Directorate of Meteorology (DMG) forecasts that the weather will be relatively hot on Friday in Morocco’s southern Rif, the plains near the Atlas Mountains, the eastern region, and in the far south and southeast of the country.
Thunderstorms with hail are also expected in the Middle Atlas and the eastern region. Scattered showers with thunderstorms are forecast in the northern High Atlas, Rif, and the extreme south of the country. Very light rain is expected in some areas west of the Mediterranean coast and along the coasts between Sidi Ifni and Tarfaya.
Fog patches are likely in the northern and central plains during the morning and evening, with localized dust in the southern eastern region, southeast, and southern provinces.
Winds are predicted to be somewhat strong along the southern coasts, the eastern region, the High Atlas, the Middle Atlas, and in Tangier and the southeast.
Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 22 to 29 degrees in the southern eastern region, the Mediterranean coast, and the far south and southeast of the country. In the Atlas Mountains and Rif, temperatures could range from 13 to 20 degrees, while the rest of the country may see temperatures between 16 and 23 degrees Celsius.
In the daytime, temperatures are expected to rise slightly in the northern part of the country, with no significant change elsewhere.
The sea is forecast to be calm to rough in the Mediterranean, calm in the Strait of Gibraltar, and calm to rough along the coast.
