Moroccan para-taekwondo athlete Adouich Ayoub clinched a bronze medal in the under 63 kg K44 weight class at the 17th Paralympic Games on Friday.
Douicha achieved the feet after his Brazilian opponent, Nathan Tokwato, withdrew due to injury during their repechage match.
Adouich had previously defeated Uzbek Zukhroldin Tokhiroff in the Round of 16 with a score of 17-15. He then fell to Italian Antonino Bosulo in the quarterfinals, 4-17, but bounced back with a victory over Dominican Geraldo Castro Incarnacio in the first repechage match, scoring 19-13.
The bronze medal is Morocco’s second at the Paris Paralympics, following Ayman Haddawi’s bronze in the 100m T47 race earlier today.
