Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum chose to spend his holidays in Morocco, according to local media reports.
The leader was spotted shopping at the Semmarine Market in Marrakech. Emirati tourists in the area had taken photos with the Sheikh in the market, who was accompanied by his bodyguards and local officials.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is a long-time admirer of Morocco, where he owns a palace and frequently spends his vacations. He often tours various Moroccan regions with his family.
The Ruler maintains a close relationship with Morocco’s King Mohammed VI, with whom he regularly exchanges visits, as well as with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the current President of the UAE.
These ties reflect a strong, fraternal bond between the UAE and Morocco.
During the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum congratulated Morocco’s national team on their impressive achievements throughout the tournament.
