Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, held meetings with ministers of six Arab countries and the Secretary General of the Arab League in Jordan’s capital, Amman, on Wednesday at the extraordinary session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, Morocco’s News Agency (MAP) reported.
The meetings provided a platform for discussing and enhancing bilateral relations, cooperation, and strategies to improve youth development across the Arab world.
Bensaid met with ministers from Bahrain, Egypt, Libya, Palestine, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates. The discussions centered on the exchange of knowledge regarding Morocco’s initiatives, including the “Pass Jeunes” (“Youth Pass”) and the “Motatawi3,” a government-sponsored volunteer program, as well as establishing youth awards and other projects designed to enhance support structures and provide incentives for young Moroccans, according to MAP.
The Moroccan Minister addressed the situation in the Arab region and recent developments affecting young people.
He said it was important for regional and international bodies to coordinate to “better serve youth issues,” MAP reported.
Bensaid also talked one-on-one with the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Ghei, who led the Arab League’s delegation at the extraordinary session.
