The Pakistan-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group held its first meeting on Wednesday, chaired by MNA Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, according to the Pakistan’s News Agency APP.
Moroccan Ambassador Mohamed Karmoune and several Pakistani parliamentarians attended the meeting to discuss ways to strengthen Pakistan-Morocco bilateral ties.
The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation, with Baig expressing satisfaction with existing relations and emphasizing future collaboration.
Members at the event also discussed reviving the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) to deepen cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.
In May, Morocco’s police Chief Abdellatif Hammouchi met with Pakistan’s ambassador to discuss mutual security concerns and potential collaborative efforts.
A year earlier, a Pakistani business delegation visited Morocco in January 2023 to promote foreign investment and increase exports.
Both sides agreed that Parliamentary Friendship Groups are crucial for fostering diplomatic and economic ties, and regular interactions were encouraged.
