Brazilian football star Neymar denied on Monday media reports claiming he is seeking to return to Spanish club FC Barcelona.
Last week, sports journalist Joan Fontes reported that Neymar was allegedly eager to return to Barcelona “at any cost.”
In response, Neymar took to his official X page on Monday to call the reports a “lie” and described them as a “tremendous disrespect” to both himself and his current club, Al-Hilal. He added that he is “happy in Riyadh” and will soon return to the pitch “to delight fans all over the world.”

Neymar is currently under contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. He initially joined Spanish club Barcelona in 2013 from Brasilian club Santos and quickly became an integral part of one of the most feared attacking trios in football history, along with players Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, a combination famously dubbed “MSN.”
During his four-year run with Barcelona, Neymar played a key role in securing multiple titles for the club, including two La Liga championships and the 2015 UEFA Champions League.
However, Neymar’s time at Barcelona came to an end in 2017 when he made a record-breaking move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a staggering 222 million euros, the most expensive transfer in the history of the sport.
