The Moroccan international player Walid Cheddira signed with Spanish Club Barcelona on Monday, joining the club on loan from Italian club SSC Napoli without a purchase option.
The striker is set to play in La Liga this year after moving from Napoli to Barcelona until June 2025.
Sports journalist and transfer expert Nicolo Schira confirmed the deal, stating, “Done Deal and confirmed! Walid #Cheddira to #Espanyol from #Napoli on loan until June 2025..” The player, his representatives, Napoli, and his new club have all agreed on the terms.

Cheddira has traveled to Barcelona to complete a medical examination and sign his new contract with Barcelona. The club has not yet made a public announcement.
Previously, Cheddira was loaned to Italian Club Frosinone Calcio, where he scored seven goals and provided one assist in 39 Serie A matches.
The 26-year-old made his international debut in Morocco’s memorable 2022 Qatar World Cup run and joined Napoli after the tournament.
