Moroccan left-back Ayoub Qasmi has officially signed with Saudi club Al Raed, during the summer transfer window, the club announced via its social media network.
“The club has completed all necessary procedures to secure the services of Moroccan defender Ayoub Qasmi,” Al Raed said.
Qasmi, who had previously played for FUS Rabat, now represents the latest Moroccan player to join the Saudi Pro League, which is rapidly becoming a destination of choice for football talents from around the globe, according to sports media outlet Le 360.
The duration of Qasmi’s contract with Al Raed has not yet been disclosed.
Following his transfer, the Moroccan player joins fellow countrymen Karim El Berkaoui and Mohammed Fouzir at the Saudi club, thus strengthening the Moroccan presence within the team and Saudi league.
The player boasts an extensive career in Moroccan football, having played for several teams, including Wydad Casablanca, Mouloudia Oujda, and Hassania Agadir.
He participated in 200 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing 12 assists.
