Moroccan journalist and expert on Barlaman Radio program “Decryptage,” Jamal Braoui, died early Monday morning in a Casablanca hospital after a long battle with illness.
In a heartfelt message posted on his Facebook page, Braoui’s family announced his death: “With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Jamal Braoui, who has returned to the mercy of God after suffering from illness.”
“We ask Almighty God to grant him His vast mercy and to place him in the highest paradise. May He also grant patience and solace to all of us and his loved ones during this great loss. Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return,” the post added.
Braoui was one of Morocco’s leading journalists, having significantly contributed to journalism and media through his work with various media outlets.
