Several regions in Morocco are expected to experience light rain on August 27, with temperatures remaining relatively high, particularly in the southeastern areas, southern provinces, Tadla plains, and parts of the southern Rif, according to a report from the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
While much of the day will be hot, residents in the southern desert provinces should prepare for a change in the evening, as scattered thunderstorms are forecast to bring light rain to the area.
Low, dense clouds are anticipated to form along the western Mediterranean coast, as well as the northern and central coastlines. The clouds may lead to light, localized showers throughout the day.
In addition to the rain, fog patches are likely to develop in the morning and evening along the Mediterranean coast, and in the northern and central plains and southern coasts.
Winds are expected to intensify, particularly in the Small Atlas Mountains and the southern desert regions, with moderately strong gusts.
Low temperatures in the morning are forecast to range between 22°C and 28°C in the southeastern and southern provinces. Meanwhile, the Great and Middle Atlas Mountains will experience cooler temperatures, between 11°C and 17°C. Most other regions will see lows between 16°C and 22°C.
Daytime temperatures are expected to decrease slightly across the country as the day progresses, providing some relief from the heat.
