Moroccan midfielder Bilal El Khannouss is close to moving to British club Leicester City from Belgian club KRC Genk. Leicester is expected to make an offer between €15 million and €20 million for the 20-year-old player.
El Khannouss, who has drawn considerable attention for his standout performances with Genk, has attracted interest from several clubs, but Leicester seems to be in the lead. Belgian football journalist Sacha Tavolieri notes that “while other teams showed interest, Genk’s high asking price was a hurdle.”

The Moroccan international player, who won a bronze medal with his team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, is set to sign a four-year contract with Leicester. This would be his first move outside Belgium.
Last season, El Khannouss played 51 games for Genk, scoring three goals and providing eight assists. His performances have also drawn attention from Benfica, Atlético Madrid, and AS Roma clubs.
Moving to Leicester City could be a big step in El Khannouss’s career, giving him a chance to shine in the Premier League.
