A massive fire broke out late Saturday evening at the popular Ibn Abad used clothing market, known locally as “Joutiya Ibn Abad,” on Moulay Youssef Street in Kenitra, according to converging reports.
The blaze caused extensive damage to several stores selling second-hand clothing, according to multiple local reports.
Emergency services, including local authorities, security forces, and civil protection teams, quickly arrived to extinguish the flames. Despite their efforts, the fire inflicted significant material losses on the vendors.
Eyewitnesses reported thick plumes of smoke rising from the market as firefighters worked to bring the situation under control. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
