Moroccan football player Achraf Hakimi was the star of the show as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) cruised to a dominant 6-0 victory over Montpellier on Friday, continuing their perfect start to the 2024/25 Ligue 1 season.
The Moroccan right-back found the back of the net in the 58th minute, cementing his role as a key player in PSG’s lineup.
Hakimi’s goal was one of six as PSG put on an attacking masterclass at the Parc des Princes.
Bradley Barcola opened the scoring early, and Hakimi’s strike just five minutes after Barcola’s second goal of the match highlighted the Parisian club’s relentless offensive pressure.
Goals from Marco Asensio, Warren Zaire-Emery, and Lee Kang-in completed the rout, bringing PSG’s total goal tally to 10 in just two matches.
Despite the absence of star forward Kylian Mbappe, PSG held their ground, with Hakimi leading the charge.
Under the leadership of new head coach Luis Enrique, PSG’s young squad, including recent signings Joao Neves and Desire Doue, proved they are determined to remain the reigning champions of Ligue 1.
