To ease the transition of Moroccan international player Noussair Mazraoui to the club this month, Manchester United has connected him with a Muslim community leader to help him get to know the city and explore Manchester’s mosques.
Manager Erik ten Hag recommended the initiative to ensure that Mazraoui feels comfortable and performs well with the Red Devils.
The player joined Manchester United from Bayern Munich on August 13, 2024, with a five-year contract lasting until 2029.
The transfer fee for the Moroccan full-back was £12.9 million, with an additional £4.3 million in bonuses.
Manchester United’s innovative move is part of its commitment to ensuring Mazraoui has all the necessary support to excel in his new environment.
