Morocco is expected to experience hot weather and thunderstorms across several regions on Thursday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
Central regions, including the Moulouya Valley, southeastern areas, and desert regions, should see the highest temperatures.
Morning and evening hours will bring dense low clouds and occasional foggy patches over the northern and central plains, and near the coastlines. Thunderstorms are also expected to develop in the southern desert regions.
In addition, moderate to strong wind gusts may cause localized dust dispersion in the central coasts, the Souss region, the Anti-Atlas areas, and the southern provinces.
Temperature forecasts indicate that minimum temperatures will range from 23°C to 30°C in the western plains of the Atlas, the Chiadma region, the southeastern areas, and the desert regions.
The Rif and the High and Middle Atlas mountains will see cooler temperatures between 11°C and 16°C, while the rest of the country should have temperatures ranging from 17°C to 23°C.
Significant temperature increases are expected in the extreme southern parts of Morocco over the course of Thursday.
