CNN’s Art of Hospitality Award named the Royal Mansour Hotel in Marrakech the World’s Most Welcoming Hotel for 2024 on Tuesday, in recognition of the hotel’s luxurious service and its staff’s exceptional hospitality.
Opened in 2010 by King Mohammed VI, the Royal Mansour Marrakech has become a standard to meet in luxury accommodations.
Located just within the ancient walls of the Marrakech medina, the hotel has four fine dining restaurants and features private riads and concealed passageways, ensuring guests a unique and secluded experience.
The Art of Hospitality Award from The World’s 50 Best Hotels highlights the hotel’s superior service.
Emma Sleight, Head of Content at The World’s 50 Best Hotels, commended the Royal Mansour Marrakech for its resilience and maintaining its high standards even after the devastating earthquake in Morocco last September.
The 6.8 magnitude quake caused extensive damage, including to the Marrakech Medina. Despite these challenges, the hotel continued to provide an exceptional guest experience.
The award decision was made by 600 anonymous hotel experts, evaluating warmth, ambiance, and unique experiences.
Jean-Claude Messant, Managing Director of the Royal Mansour Collection, said he was proud to receive the award, crediting the team for their dedication.
“We want all guests to leave our hotels with the happiest and most magical memories from their stay,” said Messant, describing the Royal Mansour Marrakech as the “crown jewel” of the Royal Mansour Collection.
The complete World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024 list will be revealed in London next month on September 17. Last year’s top honor went to Scotland’s Gleneagles Hotel.
