Spanish Police have arrested a 33-year-old Moroccan man who was the subject of an international arrest warrant for extradition for alleged involvement in a criminal organization and illegal immigration trafficking, according to Spanish media “Todo Alicante.”
Agents from the Spanish Central Narcotics Brigade (UDYCO) in Alicante learned that a man who was wanted by the Moroccan authorities could be living in the Alicante town of Vega Baja de Dolores. After a search operation, they found him in an industrial estate in La Marina.
The detainee was handed over to the Alicante Court of Instruction on duty.
The authorities have notified the Judicial Authority of the Orihuela Courts, where the case will be processed.
The Central Court of Instruction of the National Court will oversee the proceedings.
