Girona FC signed Mohamed Al-Hamouni, an 18-year-old rising star from the Moroccan national team.
The talented left winger captured the hearts of Moroccan fans during the U-17 World Cup, where his performance helped Morocco reach the quarterfinals, attracting interest from major European clubs.
Al-Hamouni, previously with Le Havre in France, chose Girona for the next chapter of his career after declining to renew his contract with the French side.
The Spanish club announced the signing on Friday morning, sharing photos of the young star in their team colors across social media.
“We are delighted to welcome Mohamed Al-Hamouni to Girona B,” the club posted on X. “He arrives from Le Havre as an international player with the Moroccan national team.”

Girona is placing high hopes on Al-Hamouni, who will start with the club’s reserve team but could earn a promotion to the first team if he manages to impress.
The signing comes after significant interest from other European powerhouses, including Barcelona, Juventus, and several German Bundesliga clubs, all of whom were keen to secure the Moroccan winger.
